We’re an award-winning PR, social media and content marketing agency based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

We’re on the hunt for an ambitious, creative, and driven Senior PR Account Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with existing agency experience to progress their career and gain a multitude of new responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Our successful candidate must be a self-starter with a background in tech PR, and an interest in sustainability. Ideally, they’ll have a passion for media relations and experience pitching national and tech industry media contacts.

As a B2B tech agency, we support clients working across technologies such as AI, data centres and digital infrastructure, renewables, and sustainability.

Role Overview:

From writing content and pitching news, to building media relationships and reporting, our Senior PR Account Execs work with company Directors and Account Managers to execute campaigns on behalf of our clients and generate positive coverage.

Key duties include serving as a client liaison, drafting, and issuing press releases, comments, and articles to the media, writing speeches, helping to secure and facilitate client interviews, and organising events.

The role presents an opportunity to work across our PR, social media and creative teams to deliver multi-disciplined campaigns for clients in the UK and Europe, and to be a direct support to our Account Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To write press releases, news stories and articles
  • To network with and build relationships with key journalists, influencers, and analysts
  • To regularly pitch press releases and article ideas by phone or email
  • To distribute press releases
  • To respond to inbound phone calls, queries, and emails from journalists
  • To help secure interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople - in person or over the phone - and facilitate, where appropriate
  • To join clients and team members at industry events
  • To brainstorm fresh ideas for PR and social media content
  • To monitor media coverage and report results

Key Skills:

  • English language fluency: You need to have excellent written and spoken English.
  • Copywriting: You need to be hot on spelling, grammar, and proofreading, as well as have a creative flair for producing engaging content with a tech-twist.
  • Creativity: From communicating ideas to your team, to pitching stories to journalists, you need to organise information in a succinct and interesting way to capture the targets’ attention.
  • Prioritisation: The ability to balance and prioritise workloads according to deadlines and to meet campaign deliverables to an exceptionally high standard is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Whether it’s over the phone, by email or in person, PR is all about people, so you need to be approachable, friendly, and empathetic.
  • Resilience: You must be confident enough to pick up the phone to journalists and resilient enough to handle criticism and rejection if/ when received.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1-2 years agency experience is required and applicants with existing agency work experience or internships are welcome to apply.
  • A relevant graduate or undergraduate degree in PR, marketing, journalism, or English is welcomed, but is not required to apply for this role.
  • Qualifications from the PRCA, Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), or Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) are also welcomed.
