The company

This role is with a leading Global Toy company who have some of the best brands and most innovative products in the industry! They are looking to add a strong Senior National Account Manager to the team, this is an exciting opportunity to gain some real exposure within one of the best companies in the industry.

The business boasts a fantastic team and culture, they also offer their employee's hybrid and flexible working. They enjoy working collaboratively 3 days per week in the office. The senior leaders within the business understand how important is balancing work and family life so their core hours are 10am-4pm on office days with employees able to make the time up around these hours flexibly from home.

The Person

I can consider candidates with recent experience working in another consumer goods business, it doesn't need to be Toys but a similar market would be preferable (such as entertainment, gift, home ect). This is a managerial role so previous experience managing a small team is essential. I am looking for a hard working, friendly individual who is a real team player that will hit the ground running and has a desire to develop/progress.

The role

  • Be a leader in Category management within the Account team, initiating differentiated sell in/sell through programs
  • Initiate disruptive selling, changing the status quo, and always looking for opportunities.
  • Lead the joint company/customer planning process that identifies relevant customer needs, prioritizes initiatives and company investments/targets, and co-establishes a clear action plan for success.
  • Coach and manage direct reports facilitating development plans.
  • Retain existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities in assigned (existing) customer accounts. Focuses mainly on customers with high-value, strategic growth opportunity.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with large customers, while achieving an assigned sales and profit growth goal.
  • Train new salespeople to ensure success.
  • Lead and schedule weekly and/or monthly team meetings with sales team and leadership.
  • Track sales team metrics and report data to leadership on a regular basis.
  • Developing bi-annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs
  • Deliver product presentations, business proposals and ad plans to customers on time
  • Analysis of sell through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimising risk
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers; and provide fast solutions to challenges
  • Develop innovative sales and marketing led account plans that will maximise performance within each account
  • Co-ordinate trade marketing and marketing activity within your accounts to ensure delivery of planned volume, distribution and profit targets
  • Negotiate at senior level to ensure the business maximises the advantage of long term supply agreements and optimises all elements of the marketing mix
