What you'll do:
As a Senior Manager for Indirect Tax, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of indirect tax affairs. Your primary responsibility will be providing technical support and advice to the front office on all indirect taxes relevant to our client's products, transactions, and businesses. You will also be responsible for reviewing new product proposals, implementing best practice risk management processes, advising on cost mitigation strategies, overseeing global compliance obligations, and managing insurance premium tax obligations.

• Providing technical support and advice to the front office on all indirect taxes relevant to the company's products/transactions and businesses
• Reviewing and providing indirect tax sign-off for all New Product and Structured Transaction Proposals
• Working with the Business Units and Operations to implement and develop best practice indirect tax risk management and control processes/systems
• Advising on indirect tax cost mitigation strategies and minimizing irrecoverable VAT costs where possible
• Overseeing and managing the timely and accurate delivery of all indirect tax compliance obligations globally
• Managing the group's obligations in relation to Insurance Premium Tax

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Manager, Indirect Tax position brings significant experience in indirect taxation, ideally from both an in-house perspective as well as within Big 4/HMRC. A degree-level education along with ACA/CTA or equivalent accounting or tax qualification is required. Experience within Investment Banking or Commodities is essential. The candidate should possess excellent written and verbal skills, a high level of attention to detail, and an understanding of risk and control frameworks. Proficiency in Excel, particularly with pivot tables and V-Lookups, is also necessary.

• Significant indirect tax experience, ideally both in-house and within Big 4/HMRC
• Educated to degree level with ACA/CTA or equivalent accounting or tax qualification
• Experience of working in Investment Banking and/or Commodities essential
• Excellent written and verbal skills with high level of attention to detail
• Understanding of risk and control frameworks required
• Intermediate level of Excel essential (Pivot tables, V-Lookups)
