Our client is looking for Senior Legal Counsel to join a well established legal team, with the ability to manage a team and provide legal advice and guidance on a variety of legal matters within the commercial property and EV world.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established entity and one of the largest owner/operators of rapid electric vehicle charging stations across the UK. They have a substantial presence in the market and employ a large number of professionals across various disciplines.

Description

  • Managing and overseeing areas of the UK legal team;
  • Providing support to the Head of Legal;
  • Assisting the team with queries and ensuring compliance with processes and procedures;
  • Leading meetings with the legal team;
  • Providing legal advice on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, regulatory compliance and commercial property matters;
  • Reviewing, reporting and negotiating Contracts;
  • Providing training and support to the legal team;
  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks;
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases with the client's solicitor;
  • Carrying out of title review and circulating this to the internal teams together with raising any necessary title enquiries with the Landlord's solicitor;
  • Supporting the development of standard legal documents and templates;
  • Working closely with external solicitors and internal teams to ensure processes are followed throughout the lifetime of the project;

Profile

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

  • UK/Ireland qualification
  • The suitable candidate will have at least 5 years PQE, primarily in commercial property, commercial leases and contract law.
  • Experience of working in-house and leading team members is essential for this role.
  • Experience in the EV world is desirable
  • Able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team oriented
