About the Role

This role involves working on IT projects across the full technology stack. You will be responsible for delivering and executing projects within defined requirements with the Unipart Logistics business unit and will report directly to the Head of IT Project Management

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Client facing engagement with a global brand
• Design, initiation, and leading large scale and complex projects to achieve defined business outcomes
• Planning across all stages of the project lifecycle and obtaining appropriate levels of sign-off
• Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, and quality objectives
• Execution of project plans, monitoring progress and taking all necessary actions and escalations where appropriate
• Management of projects through the required stage gates and adherence to frameworks and governance
• Control of scope; raising and gaining approval of changes to scope
• Reporting progress at agreed intervals to the required governance framework
• Coordinate with clients, internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs

About You

• Demonstrable experience of driving and delivering large, complex business change projects and capital investment projects within a matrix environment
• Demonstrable experience of working with large challenging clients turning ambiguity into structured deliverables and plans
• Strong communication and relationship management skills at head of / Directorship level
• To lead by example; being visible and accessible; setting the tone and pace for the project by clearly communicating project goals and success criteria; clearly specifying required outcomes
• Line management experience of project managers including objective setting and performance management
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced working environment with excellent organisational skills
• Strong influencing skills and an ability to apply an appropriate level of challenge to senior stakeholders
