Brief Description:

As an IS business analyst you play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and IS solutions and delivering value to the business, ensuring the successful alignment of technology initiatives with the strategic goals of our organization. The position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical technology solutions and enhance operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts within the technical operations teams to understand and document business requirements.
  • Participate in the evaluation of business processes to generate process maps and technical specifications. Identify areas for improvement in efficiency, effectiveness and compliance.
  • Work closely with other IT subject matter experts and vendors to design, build and deploy solutions that address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions, considering industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT project teams, ensuring successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate that IT solutions meet business requirements and comply with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct testing and ensure the successful deployment of technology solutions.
  • Foster effective communication between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring a shared understanding of goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide regular updates to management and project teams on the progress of IT initiatives.
  • Able to work independently with global cross-functional teams and time zones made of internal customers and external service providers.
  • Comfortable working with global virtual teams of internal and external resources to successfully deliver projects.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability in IT literacy, staying updated on standard desktop tools and emerging IS tools relevant to the role.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure technical requirements are properly documented for the Tech Ops team projects/deliverables so that they can be consumed and quickly acted upon by shared services team.
  • Provide technical knowledge of application capabilities to ensure solutions are properly architected to meet solution and improve speed to technical issue resolution.

Primary Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related pharmaceutical science subject preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Technical/Business Analyst in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Has a passion for technology within manufacturing, engineering and pharmaceutical industries and is familiar with commonly used systems within these sectors (e.g. CMMS, MES, BMS, ERP).
  • Good comprehension of pharmaceutical business processes, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foundational knowledge of firewall, networking, database technologies and load balancers.
  • Experience in working with cloud technologies such as Azure & AWS.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework.
  • Experience in the creation and maintenance of system architectural documentation.
  • ?Has a ‘Service’ mentality, recognizing and promoting the enabling value that technology can provide to customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • ?Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and project/process workshops.
