Senior Insurance & Public Risk (Health) Associate

We are in search of a highly motivated and skilled Attorney to join our client's team of adept administrative and public law practitioners. The successful candidate will primarily handle matters pertaining to health, information law, judicial review, and other regulatory and disciplinary issues.

Duties of the Role

• Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients in the insurance and public risk sectors, with a focus on healthcare-related matters.
• Handle complex insurance claims and risk management issues pertaining to the healthcare industry.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance laws, regulations, and policies affecting healthcare providers and insurers.
• Draft and review insurance policies, contracts, and agreements related to healthcare coverage and liability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to assess and mitigate risks associated with healthcare operations and services.
• Provide training and guidance to Junior Associates and support staff on insurance and public risk issues specific to healthcare.

More About You

• Although previous involvement in the health sector isn't obligatory, showcasing proficiency in offering guidance on regulatory matters within the life sciences realm, especially concerning the supervision of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cutting-edge technologies, and AI application, would be beneficial.
• Moreover, familiarity with advising on broader public law matters within the health sector, including guidance for both NHS and independent healthcare organizations, as well as general health law, is highly desirable.
• The ideal candidate should also possess experience in working on public inquiries (whether statutory or non-statutory) and a grasp of information law, encompassing FOIA, DPA, and EIR.
