Senior Fire, Security, H&S Manager required for an immediate start

Location:        Thames Valley Region

Length:           temporary - ongoing

Hours:             37.5 hours a week, Mon – Fri

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the organisation has appropriate Health & Safety, Security and Fire safety management policies, processes and systems in place
  • Manage Health & Safety Manager, Security Manager, Senior Fire Safety Manager and Fire Safety Officers
  • Be the competent person for the management of Health & Safety fulfilling the Trust’s legal obligations
  • Develop and maintain training programmes and supporting documentation for Trust staff, Managers and Directors, ensuring that responsibilities are recognised and undertaken
  • Further develop the culture of Health & Safety across the organisation, developing the Health & Safety team to support this
  • Ensure that the department has a robust risk management approach in place and that risks are recorded, and managed appropriately
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff side Health & Safety Representatives, Fire Authorities, Local Police Authorities and NHS Protect

Essential requirements:

  • Fire and Health and Safety experience within the NHS
  • Knowledge of current health and safety related legislation
