Senior Finance Officer

RM Recruit are proud to be working with an amazing Alcester based not-for-profit organisation, who are on the lookout for a bright, well-articulated Senior Finance Officer/Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position is 100% office based and our client is able to offer a competitive salary banding with excellent benefits, including a 25% employer pension contribution.

This role will see you reporting directly to the Head of Finance and provide support to the Finance function in ensuring the effective running of the monthly management accounting process.

Main duties include, but not be limited to:

• Production of monthly management accounts for a group of clients, ensuring the month-end financial timetable is adhered to, analysing variances, and obtaining explanations to support financial data.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts for the schools.
• To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the post, participating in appropriate training activities.
• Preparing financial reports as required by the CFO/Head of Finance or other members of the finance team.
• Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.
• To work with due regard to confidentiality and the principles of Data Protection whilst encouraging others to do the same.
• The successful candidate will be subject to all pre-employment checks necessary to meet safer recruitment requirements, including an enhanced DBS check

The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or part-qualified with excellent practical exposure of producing management accounts. Prior experience in the third sector is highly advantageous for this role, although candidates from outside the sector will also be considered. You will be a confident communicator who can forge relationships with a range of stakeholders. You will possess the ability to work on own initiative as well as thrive in a collaborative team setting.
