Are you passionate about making a tangible impact in the lives of those who have served our country? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior External Engagement Officer within our clients Fundraising Department.

About Us: Our client is a leading charity dedicated to supporting veterans and their families, providing vital care and rehabilitation services.

Position Overview: As a Senior External Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with external agencies and organisations to raise both income and goods in kind. Reporting to the CEO and collaborating closely with the Chief Executive, you will lead fundraising efforts, develop strategic partnerships, and champion our cause across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage specific fundraising initiatives to achieve income targets.
  • Support events and community activities by identifying opportunities and fostering partnerships.
  • Cultivate relationships with corporate contacts, promoting interest and involvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess and pursue new fundraising opportunities and methods.
  • Serve as a fundraising advocate, representing our organization with professionalism and passion.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven success in fundraising with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
  • Track record of securing significant income (£1M plus).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in budgeting techniques and database entry.
  • Valid driver's license and flexibility for occasional weekend and evening work.
