Senior Electronics Engineer - London - £55k - £60K

Hexwired Recruitment is presently in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Electronics Engineer. In the role of a Senior Electronics engineer, you will play a vital role in facilitating the hardware development lifecycle, which encompasses tasks such as requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and verification.

This collective effort is geared towards the delivery of electronic or electrical components and subassemblies into diverse projects and products.

Key skills required for this Senior Electronics Engineer Job:

  • Define, design, and validate digital and analog electronic hardware, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electronics that meet requirements within allocated timeframes and budgets.
  • Execute design calculations and simulations using industry-standard tools, along with prototyping as needed, to assess performance, pinpoint high-risk zones, and yield meticulously designed solutions that minimise the need for rework.
  • Conceive, validate, and refine electronic hardware in alignment with established hardware development processes.
  • Estimate the time and effort required for electronic hardware tasks, delivering outputs in accordance with these estimates to ensure adherence to cost and schedule parameters.
  • Provide technical guidance and wield technical influence across multiple projects, fostering the selection of optimal approaches, architectures, and designs.
  • Collaborate with production testing to guarantee designs align with volume production requirements. Additionally, offer production support to expedite the identification and resolution of electronic hardware issues, thereby mitigating production delays.
  • Holds a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or possesses equivalent experiential qualifications.
  • Demonstrates substantial expertise in one or more of the subsequent domains:
  • Mastery in high-speed digital designs encompassing processors and programmable devices.
  • Proficiency in the realm of analog circuit design and switched-mode power supply design.
  • Proficiently designs robust power supply solutions, capable of fulfilling stipulated requisites, and conducts comprehensive analyses across various input/output conditions, including temperature variations, delivering precise performance estimates.
  • Competent in utilising schematic capture tools and adept at implementing layout constraints via rules, classes, and groups.
  • Has successfully executed intricate, large-scale designs necessitating multi-layer PCBs (including PCB stack-up design).
  • Displays an understanding of design and testing in the context of EMC and TEMPEST (preferred).
  • Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, PADS, and/or PSpice (advantageous).
