About the company:

This multidiscipline Property and Construction Consultancy are looking for a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join their large M&E team in their Winchester office. With over 70 years of experience, 1000 employees and 12 offices across the UK, this company provide many different services within the Built Environment such as Building Services Engineering, Sustainability & ESG, and Architecture.

Delivering expertise in a range of sectors including Defence & Security and Arts, Culture & Heritage, they have worked on huge projects in the UK, such as the RAF Museum in Hendon and the Queen Elizabeth School in Bristol, as well as big projects worldwide. With over 80% repeat business, you’ll never run out of new and exciting work.

As a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a large and diverse team working together to bring innovative solutions for clients. They are committed to reducing their environmental impact by partnering with local businesses and resources, and have made their way up Building Magazine’s ‘Top 150 Consultants’ list.

Every day, you will take on a variety of responsibilities including using CAD and BIM to design electrical systems, designing site-specific equipment, liaising with clients and the design team, and advising on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings. You will work on prestigious projects from large industrial and commercial schemes with contract values over £30 million to smaller schemes, with the overall aim to minimise the carbon footprint and impact on the environment.

You will be exposed to many sectors and many cultures working with interesting clients including large retail companies, local authorities, Schools/Universities, contractors, and developers. What they are looking for in the successful Senior Electrical Engineer:
  • 4+ years’ experience in Electrical Building Services Design in the UK.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership.
  • Someone who can hit the ground running and lead their own projects.
  • Electrical Engineering or Building Services related degree.
  • Great knowledge of Dialux and Amtech.
  • High quality oral and written communications.
