Senior Design Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our Highways Design Team based in Salford or Penrith to work on the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework Contract within Highways. Within this role you can expect a competitive salary, private healthcare and other exciting benefits.

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester or Penrith - some remote working available with travel to the office when required

Contract: Permanent Fulltime, part time working/job share will be considered just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Senior Design Engineer, you'll produce highways designs, drawings, reports and supporting documentation in accordance with the brief, timescales and budgetary allocation.

Your day to day will include:

• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs in accordance with approved design procedures for local and national authorities  
• Provide support to the Principal Engineer of the design team on various design  
• Conduct on site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings)  
• Maintain good relations with clients and other authorities, attending meetings as necessary

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Design Engineer is great if you have:

• Relevant construction related Degree / HNC
• Construction, Design & Management Regulations 2015
• Member of a professional body, IEng / CEng status or working towards
