VIQU have partnered with a top healthcare organisation who serve a community of over 650,000 people, their mission is to prioritise outstanding care and pioneer new ways of working within the healthcare industry.

They are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their Cyber Security team, which is a part of their large ICT service that is the backbone of the delivery of digital health care, serving over 120 sites and supporting over 14,000 users. The successful Senior Cyber Security Engineer will ensure strict compliance with the Cyber Security professional code of conduct, alongside staying abreast of legislative and national policy changes, and evaluating security advisories from external sources. You will be responsible for crafting training programs tailored for both your team and the organisation, cultivating a pervasive cyber security culture.

Requirements of the Senior Cyber Security Engineer:

  • Proficient understanding spanning diverse procedures rooted in theoretical framework. acquired knowledge and expertise in specific domains through attainment of degree-level education and recognised Cyber Security .;p’-qualification such as CISMP, CISSP, CASP, or equivalent experience.
  • Possesses professional certification or membership in Cyber Security (BCS, ISC2, Tiger, NCSC etc.)
  • Demonstrated, advanced understanding of regulations related to Cyber Security, particularly the Network and Information Systems Directive (NIS-D)
  • Effectively manages third parties and suppliers, works independently, and develops best practice procedures for the Cyber Security team
  • Displays strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Must be able to travel within the geographical area and may be required to participate in on-call escalation duties
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and ideally certified in ITIL Foundation
  • Completed formal leadership training equivalent to or exceeding ILM Level 5 (desired)
  • Experience in ICT service provision within a healthcare setting and managing teams (desired)
  • Possesses a broad range of ICT skills and comprehension (desired)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Welsh (desired)
