(Contract) Senior Backend Software Product Engineer - Golang

£650 a day, Inside IR35.

Fully Remote

6-Month Contract, with the potential to keep rolling

As a Contract Senior Product Backend (Golang) Engineer you will be collaborating in a multi-disciplinary squad to enhance the functionality of the customer-focused product. You will be working on the backend technology, using a product-thinking approach when designing solutions.

The Role and Responsibilities

The ideal Senior Backend Engineer will be:

  • Design, build, and maintain backend infrastructure and code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data and product requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Writing Golang (Go) code to improve functionality
  • Document, Test and Exploratory work
  • Translating business requirements into team requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal Senior Backend Engineer will have a background in the following:

  • Very experienced in writing complex Golang (Go) code.
  • Experienced in multi-cloud environments of GCP (and AWS).
  • Proficient with other coding languages such as Java, Python and Scala
  • Kafka for message queue
  • Kubernetes and Docker
  • Ability to read React
