Overview:

The Senior Carpenter and Designer will lead custom scenic projects, collaborating with teams to meet briefs, ensuring workshop policies compliance, and managing daily tasks. Reporting to the Scenery Manager, this role entails team leadership, efficient scenic delivery, and maintaining high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the team, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
  • Utilize woodworking machinery, CNC routing, and graphic software.
  • Read technical drawings and manage inventory effectively.
  • Ensure workshop maintenance and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Strong construction knowledge and spatial awareness.
  • Proficiency in drawing programs (Vectorworks/CAD) preferred.
  • Supervisory/management experience required.
  • Problem-solving and communication skills essential.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
