A major Japanese trading company is currently recruiting a Senior Analyst to join their team in London.
The Senior Analyst main responsibilities are to support the Department Managers with all investment risk management work with both new opportunities as well as existing investments within the company.

TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: £30 - 51k, DOE + Benefits and bonus
START: ASAP
LOCATION: London (Hybrid working)

Senior Analyst MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To support the department in providing recommendations to management on whether or not the business should proceed with an investment/divestment opportunity based on our own analysis and evaluation, including the handling of internal applications for such procedures

• To support business departments as an "in-house advisor" in terms of investment opportunity deal sourcing as well as deal execution once approved by management, including proactively liaising with other corporate departments.

• To monitor and oversee the existing invested subsidiaries and affiliates in order to maintain growth and profitability through budget control and decision-making for important management matters, including the handling of internal applications for such procedures.

• To consider and advise and management subsidiaries and affiliates on their business and operations and offer ways to improve business performance and efficiency

• To collaborate with Unit General Managers and other business unit personnel and support corporate development activities

• To support the Regional Investment Committee and R&D Investment Committee as secretariat

• To pursue and support the Full Potential Plan and ongoing "asset recycling" programme as required


Senior Analyst IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• University educated

• Post graduate qualifications would be preferred

• Proficient in MS Office and advanced in MS Excel

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player

• Analytical nature and inquisitive mindset

• Enthusiastic and eager to learn

• Enjoys a challenge and happy to be a self-starter

• Experience at an Investment Bank/consulting/PE (or similar experience) in investment, or a newly qualified accountant preferred
