Our client is looking for an experienced Acoustic Consultant to join their multi-disciplinary consultancy. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across Healthcare, Education and Residential sectors and many large-scale prestigious developments therefore having an interest in architectural / building acoustics is essential.
Senior Acoustic Consultant Requirements:
- Relevant degree AMIOA/MIOA and/or the IOA Diploma
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Architectural building acoustics in schools, healthcare and residential developments
- Noise surveys and on-site testing in buildings
- Report writing, preparing calculations and processing noise survey data
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Acoustic modelling with modern software packages
- The planning process and preparation of reports for Applications and to address Conditions
- Guidance documents such as BS 8233, BS4142, PropPG, HTM 08-01, BB93, AVO guidance, amongst others
Senior Acoustic Consultant Duties:
- Deliver project work from inception to completion for small to large sized projects
- Noise surveys and on-site testing in buildings
- Complete reports, prepare calculations, and process noise survey data
- Manage junior members of the team
- Liaise with other parts of the business and external clients
