SEN Teaching Assistant

***£80-£90 per day
***September 2024- July 2025
***Unique opportunity for a graduate to provide additional support to SEN KS3 and KS4 students.

Requirements:
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in psychology, or a related field.
  • Genuine care and passion surrounding the wellbeing of students with additional needs.
  • Personable and friendly to ensure strong bonds between yourself and students.
  • Dedication to following safeguarding processes.
  • Previous experience of working with children, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not mandatory.

The Role:
  • Getting to know each student and learning about their additional learning needs.
  • Building good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to preserve a positive learning environment.
  • Assisting in the planning of lesson plans and the creation of learning materials and adapting these to fit each individual’s needs.
  • Supporting students in an SEN Teaching Assistant role in and out of class time with their work, as they progress towards their GCSE examinations.
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils.
