Are you looking for your first or even next Teaching Assistant role? Are you a Teaching Assistant wanting to return to work after a period away from the classroom? Do you have experience working with young people in any other capacity?

We are working with a number of schools in Knowsley & Liverpool that are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants. The role of a Teaching Assistant can be extremely varied and challenging but also very rewarding; you will be expected to support pupils either individually or as well supporting the entire classroom. In the role, flexibility, resilience and a sense of humour are essential.

Roles vary from ad-hoc daily cover to longer term positions, although this could lead to something more long-term in future, depending upon the schools need.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Being willing and able to support classes of primary and secondary aged children, helping to managing behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support individual or groups of students
  • Engaging with the pupils and keeping them on task, assisting with queries where possible
  • Dealing with any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) - we can help with this!
  • A flexible, punctual, professional and approachable manner
  • The ability to establish rapport quickly with children whilst maintaining a high standard of control and discipline
  • Qualification levels can vary from none rite up to degree level
