Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN)?

Reed are working in partnership with a Secondary school in Chester looking for a SEN TA to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ lives, working closely with teachers and other support staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in teaching assistant or childcare, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient and supportive approach

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, fostering their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create individualized learning plans and implement appropriate strategies to support students' progress.
  • Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the individual needs of students, promoting their engagement and achievement.
  • Support students with personal care needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the school day.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback and reporting observations to the teaching staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and caregivers, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
