This innovative, motivating and outstanding School is an independent specialist day are seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team in Newbury. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and Speech, Language and Communication Needs in Newbury.

Day-to-day of the role:

Support teachers and therapists in delivering an adaptive curriculum tailored to individual pupil needs.

Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to ensure each pupil receives the attention they require.

Assist with pastoral care, behaviour management, and support the social and emotional development of pupils.

Create a safe, nurturing environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

Utilise a variety of educational techniques to enhance the learning experience and meet the diverse needs of pupils.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

Proven experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.

Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
