Reed Education are working closely with a Multi-Academy Trust and are actively recruiting Teaching Assistants for their Primary schools based in Leeds to work on a short-term basis. We are looking for motivated and flexible SEN Teaching Assistants just like you to be a part of our schools.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be patient and willing to build relationship with children

• Have an empathetic nature

• Be able to use initiative

• Have over 2 years of experience in Primary Schools

• Have experience working with children who have challenging behaviour

• A good understanding of Autism and other needs

• An ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults

The role will include but is not limited:

• Getting the classroom ready for lessons

• Listening to children read, reading to them, or telling them stories

• Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks

• Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records

• Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour

• Supervising group activities

• Looking after children who are upset or have had accidents
