Colmore Education are currently looking for a Humanities Teacher in a lovely SEN school based in Shropshire. 

SEN (Special Educational Needs) Humanities Teacher is responsible for delivering humanities curriculum tailored to students with special educational needs. The role involves planning, adapting, and teaching lessons in subjects such as history, geography, social studies, and potentially elements of politics or philosophy to accommodate various learning styles and needs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialized training or certification in special education (preferred).
  • Experience teaching humanities in a special education setting.
Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to create and adapt teaching materials and assessments.
  • Compassion and patience to manage students with diverse needs.
