SEN & Complex Needs Support Worker

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in a SEN school setting. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to students with complex needs in a Stockport school. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, behavior management, and ensuring the well-being of those under your care.

Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor medication schedules
- Support individuals with dementia care needs and implement appropriate strategies
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as required
- Monitor and document changes in individuals' physical and mental health status
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote a safe and supportive environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for individuals

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of SEN with complex needs
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is desirable
- First aid certification is ideal.
