Semi-Senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant required. Our client is a well-established accountancy firm based in South London. Due to recent expansion and new clients coming on-board, our client is looking for an experienced semi-senior accountant to join their dynamic team. The role is officed based, so the suitable candidate must have a reliable commute to South London.

Semi-Senior Accountant Position Overview

• Prepare accounts for all our clients - sole traders, partnerships, limited companies
• Prepare VAT returns
• Liaise with HMRC and ensure client accounts are up to date
• Liaise with clients regularly ensuring they are kept up to date at all times
• Take a forward-facing approach to all clients, we would like the successful candidate to get out in front of clients whenever possible

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience working in a practice environment. Candidates are not required to be fully-qualified, we will accept candidates still studying towards ACA/ACCA/IEAEW.

The successful applicant must maintain a high level of services, providing clients with a five-star service at all times. Our client prides themselves on the service they provide to all clients, no matter the size of the company. Suitable candidates will have experience using Xero and Iress, and other relevant tools relating to accountancy.

Semi-Senior Accountant Position Requirements

• Must have 3+ years working in an accountancy practice
• Candidates will have experience using Xero and Iress
• Be confident speaking to clients over the phone, through email and face-to-face
• Have a reliable commute to South London
• Ensure client accounts are always kept up to date

Semi-Senior Accountant Position Remuneration

• £26,000-£32,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
