Semi-Senior Accountant

Semi-Senior Accountant required. Our client is an award-winning chartered accountancy practice based in Surrey, and have a range of clients based in London and South East of England.

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years' previous experience working in an accountancy practice. Suitable candidate must live within an 8-mile radius of Ashtead.

Semi-Senior Accountant - Position Overview

• Accounts preparation for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Preparation business tax computations
• Draft covering letters enclosing accounts and business tax computations to clients
• Some tax planning regarding extraction of funds from a company in the most tax efficient manner. Implement some tax planning strategies for sole traders and partnerships too with appropriate training
• Prepare invoices using our software and help with the renewal of fixed price agreements and tracking profit on jobs

Semi-Senior Accountant - Position Requirements

• Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping (essential)
• Experience with accounts preparation (essential)
• Experience of IRIS/Xero (essential)
• Good IT skill - so can deal well with Cloud/Outlook/Excel/Word
• Good basic understanding of accounting standards /FRSs for accounts
• 3+ years' experience in an accountancy practice is important
• Part, or fully qualified AAT (Level 3 minimum), ACCA or ACA

Semi-Senior Accountant - Position Remunerations

• £24,500-£40,000 (dependant on qualifications/experience)
