Health & Social Care Teacher

An improving Secondary School in Bradford is seeking a dedicated and flexible Health & Social Care Teacher for a September 2024 start. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring the younger generation and is open to teaching an additional subject based on their strengths.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering high-quality lessons in Health & Social Care, and potentially another subject aligned with your expertise.
  • Engaging and inspiring students to achieve their full potential in Health & Social Care studies.
  • Preparing, planning, and assessing lessons and student progress.
  • Contributing to the development of teaching materials and programmes of study.
  • Providing feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on progress and development.
  • Participating in and contributing to staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be in the process of gaining it.
  • Strong academic background - Degree, A Levels, and GCSEs.
  • Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ level.
  • Willingness to listen to feedback and continuously improve teaching practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the wider school community.
