School Nurse – Japan

A truly unique opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to work within an independent School based in Japan on a term time only basis.

Our client is offering a Qualified Nurse a once in a lifetime opportunity to re-locate to a truly picturesque region of Japan and join their flourishing School community.

The School is able to consider Nurses from all across the world but a strong grasp of both written and verbal English is essential. Japanese language skills would be desirable but not essential, however a willingness to learn the language is necessary.

The Role

The successful Registered Nurse will be responsible for all aspects of health and wellbeing on site, and will work closely with other senior members of staff to ensure peak medical provision is provided.

On top of clinical duties, the successful Nurse will be required to manage and maintain the Medical Centre in terms of equipment, medication and record keeping.

The role also has a strong pastoral and safeguarding element to the position. This is incredibly important as boarding students are spending time away from home and the School seeks to provide a strong pastoral support network of which the Nurse is a vital part.

Requirements

-       Registered Nursing Qualification

-       English speaker

-       Experience of working with young people

-       IT literacy

-       Experience of dealing with adolescent health issues
