Lettings Coordinator required for Secondary School in Worthing

At Engage Education, we’re currently recruiting for a Lettings Coordinator in Worthing after building a strong relationship with a local grouping of schools. They are looking for an experienced Estate Officer to manage the school’s lettings.

Our Engage Services team specialise in the placement of non classroom based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance and Facilities.

About the role

As a School Estates officer, you’ll be an organised and experienced professional with experience in managing the booking and set up of lettings for the school

Hours of work: 5pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

In the role will be expected to:

  • To be a registered keyholder; and, in the absence of the Estates Team Leader, to assume responsibility for security as agreed with the Estates Team Leader, to include:

  • Locking and unlocking school gates and entrance doors;

  • Arranging access to the site for bookings and assisting with general set up for events;

  • Dealing with unwelcome visitors on site;

  • To detect and report building defects to the Estates Team Leader. To carry out maintenance and repairs to the building, furniture and equipment as directed.

  • To organise and move furniture and equipment within the site as requested, e.g. setting up of examination rooms, preparation for Open Evenings and lettings’ bookings.

  • To ensure that the grounds and hard areas are clean, tidy and free of obstruction and litter.

  • To be responsible for lettings and their administration.

  • To work with all staff to maintain appropriate behaviour of all site users.

About you
  • Experience working within a school environment

  • A valid DBS on the DBS update service

  • Be available to interview and start immediately
