Brook View School

Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a School Cook to join the team at Brook View School.

Cambian Brook View School is an independent specialist day and residential school providing a high standard of education for students aged 8–19 years old with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related conditions.

Job Role

You will be required to produce fresh, healthy nutritious meals and snacks for our students, some of which are on restrictive diets. You will ensure that meals are produced to a high standard for all students, staff and visitors. You will take joint responsibility for ordering supplies, preparing menus, stock control as well as promoting health & safety and hygiene throughout. As well as your set hours you may be required to work extra days during the year to support with events that need larger scale catering, such as our school Christmas meal and the end of year celebration event. (There is no requirement to work Christmas Day)

Candidate Profile

You will be highly motivated, able to work to deadlines, be experienced in producing fresh and healthy food from scratch and able to work autonomously.

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is required as well as qualifications in health & safety and food hygiene.
