School Caretaker Position Available at Prominent Secondary School in Slough, Berkshire

Position: Full-Time School Caretaker
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent

About the School:
Tradewind Secondary is seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to join the dynamic site team at a bustling secondary school in Slough. With a vast campus and over 1000 students, the chosen candidate will enjoy a varied role within a supportive and friendly team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily opening and closing of school facilities.
  • Conducting minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Performing cleaning duties as necessary.
  • Setting up rooms and equipment for school events and activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Supervising external contractors when required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Solid basic maintenance skills with prior experience in a similar caretaker or facilities management role.
  • Strong communication abilities and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a school setting.

Position Details:
This is a long-term temporary to permanent role, working alongside a team of three. The successful candidate will be required to work full-time hours from Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility for events outside regular hours.
