SC cleared DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Willing to spend 1-2 days a week on site - right now it's more like 1 day a fortnight. Bristol (Filton Abbey Wood) is the main site at the moment but could be London (Holborn)

Rate: £500-£530 INSIDE IR35

Clearance: Must have a current and valid Defence SC clearance ( no lapsed clearances accepted) - Must be sole British National

Duration: 6+ months

Key Skills

* Predominantly (but not exclusively) working on AWS
* Extensive use of Kubernetes and Docker, including Openshift
* Extensive experience of Gitlab/Github for source control
* Good understanding of CI/CD's role in delivering software is more important than specific tooling - given we're having to adapt traditional develop low/deploy high approaches to fit our classified integration and deployment needs
* Extensive experience of Linux, including scripting, etc.

Nice to have
* Experience of deploying to Azure
* Knowledge of classified working practices/risk appetite/policies in classified environment
* We're working across security domains, so any knowledge of cross domain solutions or air gapped is a plus

AWS as initial hosting provider
* Containerised apps using Docker and Kubernetes
* Apache Jena
* Elastic
* PostGIS
* Kafka
* Apache NiFi
* AWS Cognito
* HTTP REST, GraphQL, SPARQL interfaces
* Web apps based on HTML/CSS/Javascript frameworks such as React

The team is small and directly exposed to client stakeholders of varying technical knowledge so strong communication skills are essential
