Job description

Sales Order Processing Assistant ,Warrington, Salary up to £25,282.40.

42.5 hours per week ,Monday to Friday 8:00am until 5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Office based only - NO HYBRID OR REMOTE

Our client is a leading supplier to the construction and retail markets across Europe and the World . This role is to support the distribution and logistical supply of product through the delivery of optimum customer service solutions to existing and potential customers.

Key skills and responsibilities of the job.

  • Providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Processing of sales orders, sales invoices, back orders and special orders where necessary, ensuring that all product references and prices are correctly entered.
  • Dealing with trade counter customers when necessary, ensuring that all payments received are duly authorised and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collating of picking notes/delivery notes from SAP for the warehouse/transport dept to collect and arrange customer deliveries.
  • Assist in the implementation and use of new systems to improve operations and performance within the sales office and warehouse office.
  • Ensure that all incoming telephone calls are answered promptly and that all callers are dealt with in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Ensuring invoicing systems are working correctly and liaising with Account department on any issues.
  • Printing of delivery notes from SAP to pass to the warehouse staff.
  • Assist with input of monthly/year end stock-take in conjunction with other colleagues.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy appearance to all company property in line with high standards of tidiness and cleanliness.
  • Be correctly attired at all times in accordance with company policy
  • Informing customers when their deliveries will be and advising customers of any issues regarding deliveries and stock availability.
  • Liaising with stock control and customers to advise of the stock issues.

OPERATIONS TASKS • Assist the purchasing team with day-to-day issues. • Raise purchase orders with factories in spain • Order stock from our other UK regions • Arrange container deliveries from spain to the UK • Arrange purchase and transport of stock from other UK regions • Keep sales staff informed on stock availability of their orders • Replenish stock on a weekly basis • Communicate with colleagues for availability of items
