Sales & Marketing Executive

Location: Wigan, Greater Manchester (Office Based)

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 + Performance Bonus

Sales & Marketing Executive required to work for a fast-growing company based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. This role will support their Lead Public Sector Manager.

You will be responsible for supporting the existing PSM in their ongoing projects and business development roles. You will also be responsible for nurturing new business projects whilst maintaining & developing established relationships to ensure all opportunities are maximised for both parties.

You will have Business Development experience, preferably within the Public Sector. You will also have evidence of a stable career to date. Anyone who looks like they have jumped from role to role would be a concern to our client. Day to day tasks:

  • Assist with new business presentations, conferences, sales events, and virtual client meetings.
  • Offer input on company press releases, publicity campaigns and marketing.
  • Devise content for our company website and external websites.
  • Identify potential clients and generate new business with the UK public sector.
  • Be able to think creatively to develop and expand on existing contacts.
  • Take a proactive role in developing new projects.
  • Maintain and update internal case management system with contacts and sales progress.
  • Support our Lead Public Sector Manager with any additional tasks, projects, and initiatives

Other:

  • Occasional travel
  • To undertake any ad hoc duties for the MD and the Head of the corresponding Department.
  • To observe and comply with all our company policies & procedures always.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Degree educated.
  • Ability to deliver presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication & organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills & typing with accuracy.
  • Driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • It is not essential, but preferred if you have:
  • Genealogy research experience/knowledge.
  • Business development experience, preferable within the Public Sector.
  • Project Management experience.
