Our client a leading Luxury food company with a rich history is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to join the expanding team.

The ideal candidates will be able to build relationships with boutique retailers to sell high quality food. This role will require someone who is enthusiastic and great at building new relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate sales prospects within a designated geographical area, ensuring growth and retention of customers.
  • Exceed quarterly sales targets while adhering to company guidelines and profit margins.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and actively champion the speciality range of luxury food brands.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Monitor competitor activity, identifying opportunities and alternatives to enhance offerings.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Manager to develop and execute effective independent selling strategies.
  • Foster cohesive relationships with Telesales Executives in the assigned geographical area.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of company products, services, and promotions.
  • Produce and analyse monthly sales reports and KPIs, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Utilize the company’s CRM systems to build sustainable customer relationships.
  • Provide constructive feedback on Telesales staff performance to enhance customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Contact Centre Manager to improve customer service policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Build collaborative relationships with other departments, including Finance, Stock Control, and the Warehouse.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales, with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong knowledge of the food industry, particularly cheese and fine foods.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in sales reporting.
