Rental Sales Manager
  • Location: Leicester, England
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 with commission-based selling

We are looking for a Rental Sales Manager to join our team, someone who is an ambitious A-player in B2B enterprise sales and is ready for a new challenge. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in a competitive industry and the ability to build and maintain strong trading partnerships.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Initiate and build strong trading partnerships with customer organisations that fit our ideal customer profile.
  • Ensure effective onboarding of rental customers and develop service delivery plans in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Win new business accounts and manage weekly prospecting activities to maintain a robust sales funnel.
  • Plan and prioritise activities effectively, considering client buying cycles and sales process velocity.
  • Implement profitable rate cards across key rental accounts and drive rental utilisation to meet or exceed annual budgets.
  • Produce accurate rental reports on clients and maintain comprehensive knowledge of commercial vehicle specifications, legislation, and market developments.
  • Capture and communicate accurate information to manage and deliver on client expectations.
  • Support colleagues in understanding client needs to drive excellent service and utilise team knowledge for success.
  • Stay informed about client and competitor activities, sharing relevant information with the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of selling in a saturated marketplace.
  • Skilled in negotiating win/win outcomes for both the company and clients.
  • Experience growing a territory through referrals and team selling.
  • Successful record in a target-driven outbound sales environment.
  • Proficiency in cold calling to secure appointments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Open to continuous improvement, able to constructively challenge and suggest solutions.
