Step up to Sales Director within 2 years! We're looking for a skilled, professional Technical Sales Manager with a proven track record of selling £100k - £1.5m industrial capital equipment projects into the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical or other industrial sectors.  Based out of our site in Bury St. Edmunds, we need someone with the drive and ambition to take on operational responsibilities, join us at the top table, and take equity in the business.
 
BASIC SALARY: Up to £55,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager, Technical Sales - Processing/Packaging Machinery, Conveyors
 
This is a Sales Manager / Sales Director designate role. A field based, technical, consultative sales professional required to sell our high specification range of conveyors, process machinery, control systems and industrial capital equipment for the food & beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
You will manage a client base offering expert technical sales consultancy and selling technical solutions across process machinery, conveyors, and a variety of PLC / Controls systems Industrial Capital Equipment.
As our Sales Manager you will:
· Generate new business - following up leads from enquiries generated centrally through marketing, referrals, recommendations, networking and LinkedIn.
· Take full ownership of projects from initial enquiry through consultation through to specification, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning.
· Sell at all levels - from shop floor through to boardroom.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager, Technical Sales - Processing/Packaging Machinery, Conveyors
 
You're a driven, hands-on, sales professional used to longer lead times and large order values - with a proven track record of sales success selling industrial capital equipment projects from any industrial sector.
· You've also got the capacity and drive to take a seat at the top table - and additional operational responsibility as the role develops.  You'll work closely with our existing Sales Director who will teach you the ropes and get you ready to take his role when he retires.
· You are a 'closer' who takes pride in their ability to convert leads. You're also a credible technical sales professional / engineer with excellent account management skills.

Approaching 30 years in industry, we're a well respected design, manufacture and installation specialist of industrial capital equipment , conveyors and control systems for the food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
 
PROSPECTS: This person WILL become Sales Director over the next 2 years.
 
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Sales Manager, Account Manager, Technical Sales, Sales Consultant - Special Purpose Machinery, Industrial Capital Equipment, Processing Machinery, Packaging Machinery, Conveyors, Technical Solutions.
