Sales Executive (Surveyor) - Construction Sector

£28,000 - £32,000 per annum + Commission + Car + Laptop + Phone

Monday-Friday

We specialise in waterproofing, damp proofing and timber treatments. With nearly 50 years of experience, we provide a professional service to a variety of clients within a variety of different sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving and protecting properties, combined with an enthusiasm and a confidence for driving sales.

We are looking for candidates who are confident communicators, technically minded, possess a keen eye for detail and are sales and customer orientated.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full, clean UK Driving License
  • Sales experience, or the ambition to work in a Sales role
  • Construction knowledge

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Certificated Surveyor of Timber & Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB) and/or Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) Desirable, but training will be provided for the correct candidate.
  • Experience in damp proofing, timber treatments, below ground waterproofing techniques, structural repair methods and condensation solutions. Knowledge of radon would also be an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods and building materials including historic methods
  • A proven track record of sales and development ideally gained within the construction industry
  • Be able to work decisively and independently with strong project management skills
  • Be adept at liaison between internal employees, site operatives, clients and external suppliers

The role will include:

  • To undertake surveys and using strong technical knowledge to assess and recommend necessary works
  • To produce client reports, detailing survey results and quotation for works
  • Client liaison and client account management through face-to-face surveys, follow up and client development meetings
  • Day to day liaison with internal team members and external suppliers and manufacturers
  • To build a regional presence, development and growth of both sales and customers in their respective areas
  • Communication, selling & promoting the company’s products and services
  • Acting as a technical liaison on all aspects of the products and services we provide
