Role: Sales Estimator

Salary: Negotiable

Location: Wolverhampton (WV6)

Hours: 830am - 530pm

Benefits: Pension, 26 days per year plus stats

Position & Authority

In this role you shall report directly to the Technical Sales Manager. You will be required to frequently interact with other departments such as sales, production, expediting, subcon, and quality personnel. You will have the authority to question any instruction that you believe to be incorrect and raise your concern with all these departments.

General Duties:

• Evaluate customer specifications and requirements to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates.

• Estimate customer jobs to the include bills of material and the best manufacturing route. This may include the possibility of sourcing components in complete from an alternative supplier.
• Collaborate with other departments such as the sales team to ensure that all aspects of the enquiries are considered during estimation process.
• Estimating enquiries for the Sales Department.
• Purchase materials for quotations created by you or one of your colleagues.

• Analise data, read drawings and specifications.
• Manage multiple projects while ensuring that all deadlines are met.
• Load order & build jobs on the computer system using the most efficient methods.
• Regular contact with customers by phone and email.
• Sourcing information to be able to assist with accurate quotes to customers.
• Chasing customers for feedback following quotes received.
• General housekeeping.

Requirements

• Must have fastener / estimating experience.
• Would consider fastener experience without estimation, but salary would reflect.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings & specifications.
• Computer literate, with knowledge of Excel & Word.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Sales experience would be advantageous, but not essential, however, experience in a similar admin role required
