Working on behalf of our client. We are currently recruiting for a Research and Development Technician on a part-time basis.

Key Duties:

  • Supporting the Research and Development team with new product development activity.
  • Responsible for accurate maintenance, storage and processing of computerised data spreadsheets.
  • Writing clear and concise reports and trial instructions.
  • Continued calibration of essential laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain up to date chemical and consumable stocks in the laboratory areas, ensuring that all materials are within shelf life and that the COSHH assessments on file are up to date.
  • Undertake risk assessments for activities within the R&D areas.
  • To produce samples in the laboratory for customers and testing purposes as and when requested.
  • Help to generate in-house specifications (Materials, liquid formations, products etc.)

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

  • Previous experience in a lab environment is essential
  • Experience of UV spectroscopy is advantageous.
  • Self motivated individual
  • Willingness to work part time and be flexible with working hours if the business required.

What our client can offer in return:

  • 20 hours per week - Set hours can be negotiated but ideally mornings.
  • Salary discussed at point of application
  • 23 holidays + Bank Holidays (Pro Rata)
