Broster Buchanan are recruiting for an Accountant to be based in Peterborough, the role is hybrid with 2 days on site.

Our client is looking for an accountant to join our growing Finance team in Peterborough.
You will have overall responsibility for assigned accounting operations as well as associated analysis and report activities. To be successful you will demonstrate strong financial accounting skills.
  
Role Responsibilities

You will be a valued member of our accounting team, you'll play a pivotal role in executing;
  • Daily accounting tasks
  • Statutory reporting and the reporting to our Headquarters
  • Monthly internal management reports.
  • Execute efficient and comprehensive accounting processes within their designated scope of work.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure adherence to statutory requirements, serving as the foundation for management and other reporting
  • needs.
  • Adapt to changes within the accounting environment, including the implementation of new systems and organizational structures.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams such as transactional accounting and FP&A, as well as external stakeholders like auditors and tax advisors.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and workload optimization.
Person Specification
  • Extensive financial accounting experience
  • Degree in business, finance or accounting; or equivalent hands on work experience.
  • Advanced Excel ability required
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentially
  • Proactive attitude with team oriented, collaborative working style
  • Ability to work with different expectations and ambiguity
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000
