We are working with a national business compliance company based in Hinckley, that offers expert advice on HR, Employment Law and Health & Safety to more than 14,000 businesses across the UK. They are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join their team.



About the job:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a Field Sales team across a defined geographical area - this is usually around 10/15 Business Development Managers directly reporting to you. It will be your job to motivate, coach, develop and organisation of the sales team in order to achieve new business targets across all field sales territories. You will be building a high-performance sales culture, helping your team to develop self-generating referral new business, and assisting with call preparation, pipeline management, sales process execution, performance management and presentation skills. You will be accountable for achieving the aggregate monthly, quarterly and annual volume revenue, and targets for your region.



Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieving overall new business revenue and volume targets
  • Ensuring minimum activity levels are achieved and exceeded - prospecting calls, appointments, and presentations
  • Delivering self-generated new business by coaching and managing your BDMs
  • Ensuring team members are skilful in the application of self-generated new business and closing appointments to increase sales
  • Responsibility for recruitment, inductions, and sales training for all members of your team
  • Total responsibility for a team of BDMs and their on-going development and performance
  • Ensuring that clients are treated fairly and all services sold are needed and made in a compliant way
  • Monitoring conversion rates within the team to ensure an increase in deal volume
  • Ensuring team members are skilful in the application of new business pricing
  • Observing company policies and procedures and applying these at all times, communicating them to your team.
  • Ensuring that all sales are compliant adhering to company policy and business ethics
  • Conducting monthly and quarterly 1-1’s with all BDMs to ensure effective communication and understanding of training and development needs - this could include corrective actions or measures
  • Executing initiatives that will ensure minimum performance to plans for your region, and developing and implementing new approved sales incentive programmes for BDMs
  • Monitoring, managing and reporting on all sales KPI’s, and reporting on sales performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

You

  • Significant experience of leading a team of high-performing sales people in a B2B environment
  • Motivated with hands-on leadership experience involving driving sales performance
  • Organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Numerate with the ability to quickly understand the key figures that impact sales performance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage with others
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to sell to different audiences such as Business Owners, Directors, and HR Managers
  • Ability to maintain discipline
  • Strong commercial acumen with an excellent understanding of the sales and business development process
  • Track record of winning new business and upselling clients

  • Annual salary £60,000
  • Bonus scheme up to £5,000 per quarter based on sales targets
