Job Title: Living Well Salford Recovery Worker
Place of Work:
Various community spaces across Salford, including Listening Lounge Salford, Brunswick House and various outreach sites as appropriate.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Responsible to: Partnership Support Manager
Salary: £27,015 per annum

Job Purpose:
The Recovery Worker will act as a key worker for a number of individuals who are accessing Living Well due to mental health issues. As a keyworker you will develop excellent relationships with individuals to identify and understand their goals and aspirations and support each person to make steps towards achieving their identified goals.

About the employer:
This is a charity that has been delivering mental health recovery and prevention services in Salford for almost 30 years. They use creativity, connection and recovery interventions to help improve people's lives.

The Living Well Team:
Living Well Salford is a new service created in partnership between our client, Mind in Salford & Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust. The team is made up of staff from different backgrounds and agencies, both clinical and non-clinical, including experts through lived experience. As key workers in the team,they rely on each other’s strengths to support individuals to improve their mental health, reduce distress and create opportunities through community connections, employment and wider support networks.

Responsible for:

  • Providing face to face and telephone support to individuals.
  • Listening sensitively and recognising people’s strengths and potential.
  • Excellent record keeping and confidence when using computer systems and databases so experience here would be essential.
  • Empowering people to take control of their own wellbeing.
  • Developing relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Raising shared concerns via the daily huddle and weekly MDT meeting.
  • Carrying out home visits for 1:1 meeting where necessary.
  • Working with the wider Living Well Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to support development and implementation of an action plan to support the individual.
  • Working with individuals to plan their support, and achieve the goals and outcomes that are important to them.
  • Accompanying clients to activities, using public transport where appropriate.
  • Actively participating and supporting the evaluation process.
  • Providing a gateway to the Living Well 'Wider Network of Support’ including Statutory & VCSE services for specific issues relating to for example: loneliness, housing, debt, substance misuse and family support.

The closing date will be on Monday 13th May at 10am.
The interview date will be Tuesday 21st May, time to be confirmed if successful.
