A dynamic and entrepreneurial FMCG Manufacturer based in the Gloucester area, part of a wider group is currently recruiting for a Raw Materials Executive (Assistant Buyer) to join their operations team of 8. This company is a leading manufacturer in the UK and internationally.

You will report to the Demand Planning Manager, supporting a sub-team of 3 and being responsible for end to end purchasing and tracking of raw materials used in production. This is an entry level role and full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry / administration: inputting contracts, forecasting information, keeping data up to date and raising purchase orders. Support with sourcing and managing new raw material
  • -Supporting with managing key raw material forecasts communicating with suppliers.
  • Procurement administration duties including administration for supplier contracts, recording approved suppliers and spend for each, ---Support to develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships with key strategic / critical suppliers to improve supplier performance -Ensure all raw materials are delivered on time and in full (OTIF) to the production centres around the UK
  • Daily use of SAP/Excel 
  • Speaking to suppliers tracking deliveries, transport issues and managing performance

This role would suit someone with excellent communication skills, pro-active and ambitious.
