Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an established Quantity Surveyor to join a contractor delivering new build, refurbishment, project management and design and build construction solutions across multiple sectors
You will need to have various sector knowledge across - commercial, education, health, residential packages working with a main contractor, managing the commercial aspect of any project with an average value between £5m to £20m
Office based - Tonbridge
Site based with projects across Kent and Surrey
- You will need to have background as a Quantity Surveyor working within a principal contractor
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Diverse sector knowledge
- Design & Build background
Key responsibilities:
- Sub-contract Procurement and Account Management
- The timely placement of sub-contract orders in line with procurement schedule and commercial parameters and opportunities
- Regular assessment of work, variation assessment and payment recommendation in line with Sub-contract conditions.
- Timely submissions in accordance with Contract requirements to maximise profit and cash flow.
- Financial Reporting
- Regular reporting of accurate cost value reconciliations and forecasting.
- Identifying risks and making recommendations as to how risk can be overcome.
- Contractual Matters
- Promptly and fully address all contractual matters to protect the Company's position at all times.
- Relationships
- Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with Client, Client Representatives, Supply Chain and internal Teams.
- Ensure the safe working practices are adopted and followed throughout in accordance with current legislation and Group Policy and Procedures
