A leading German energy firm is searching for a talented Quantitative Market Risk Analyst to join their team. You'll be involved in modelling and risk assessment to play a crucial role in safeguarding their growing portfolio.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Build robust risk models: Collaborate with other teams to build and maintain strong risk models for energy assets, especially Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreements (RES PPAs). Fine-tuning these models is essential.
  • Value complex energy contracts: Develop clear methods to accurately value long-term energy deals, ensuring they comply with financial regulations.
  • Push valuation boundaries: Extend how we value long-term deals by creating new methods that go beyond standard timeframes.
  • Think commercially: Help develop new hedging tools and market products that benefit the business strategy.

I am looking for someone with:

  • A strong quantitative background, ideally with experience in quantitative risk or trading and the energy sector.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, with a desire to learn and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Strong understanding of market risk concepts, financial modelling, and relevant statistics.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively and communicate complex information clearly.

If you meet the above set criteria, apply now or please send your resume to .
