Quality Technician (Chemical Manufacturing)

Cambridge

£28,000 - £31,000 DOE + excellent training + support towards qualifications + 25 days holiday + days only + mon-fri + electric vehicle scheme + potential for long term progression + discretionary bonus

On offer is the opportunity to join a company which is renowned for the development of specialist polymers and a major provider of biocompatible materials for medical applications to the ophthalmic industry. You will be responsible for supporting administration of the QMS, and assisting with the investigation of Quality issues. You will work closely with the Quality Manager and R&D team, assisting with auditing activities and ensuring compliance with company-wide policies and regulations. You will form a key part of the Quality department, and benefit from a fantastic company culture with a company which is renowned for it's great staff retention.

The role:

  • Support the administration of the eQMS, in accordance with standards and regulations
  • Support and assist with investigative activities relating to Quality (external and internal), identify the root cause and implementing remedial actions
  • Manage tracking systems to ensure that the QMS is in a controlled state and is compliant with policies, SOPs, best practices, and requirements for the following, as applicable: Approved Supplier List, Audits (internal/external), QIs, Complaints, Non-Conformances, CAPAs, RCAs, and Change Control
  • Support the management of the calibration system

The person:

  • Experience in a QA role or similar
