MTrec Technical are proudly representing out prestigious engineering client, based in Gateshead, by recruiting a permanent Quality Manager to join their team. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quality of all products produced on-site, as well as, all associated Quality and Environmental management systems.

The Job You’ll Do;

• Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day quality operations ensuring product is tested, manufactured, and certified as per technical norms and customer requirements.
• Management of the destructive and non-destructive testing activity.
• Management and control of the product and system auditing.
• Management and control of all relevant QMS systems - ISO9001, ISO14001 etc..
• Lead and manage the development of preventative / corrective actions.
• Manage proactively any technical queries with customers providing all necessary guidance.
• Manage activities surrounding reporting on carbon declarations and sustainability.

About You;

• Hold relevant experience within a quality management position, within a heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Hold relevant qualifications within Quality/Engineering/Manufacturing.
• Ideally have experience working to ISO Standards (ISO 9001, 14001, etc).
• Ideally hold experience within NDT.
• Experience in leading internal and external audits.
• Ideally hold experience within Metallurgy, would be extremely advantageous.
• Must be a robust and commercial thinking character, in order to thrive within the environment and position.
