Quality Laboratory Assistant

The Recruitment Group is looking for a Quality Laboratory Assistant to work with our client based in Rothley who is a leading manufacturer in their field.  The role of Quality Laboratory Assistant is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to grow within this role.  The role of Quality Laboratory Assistant will be reporting to the Quality Supervisor and this role plays a vital part in guaranteeing the availability of trustworthy data through the correct development of quality control lab activities.  In this entry-level position, you will perform routine quality testing of products and provide analytical data based on your findings.  Hours for this role are 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00

Pay:

• £11.45 per hour

Hours / Shifts:

• 1 week – 06:00 to 14:00
• 1 week – 14:00 to 22:00

Responsibilities

• Carry out lab tests (raw materials and finished product) in accordance with the operational procedures
• Streamline the laboratory processes and maintain lab cleanliness
• Analyse competitors’ products according to defined methods
• Perform and maintain all laboratory equipment verifications and calibrations
• Ensure levels of quality of finished products and where necessary raise non-compliances on the system
• Promote a safety-bound corporate culture

• Experience working in a lab environment
• A keen eye for detail
• Good team player
• Problem-solving skills
• Working in a production/manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Able to work as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Good IT Skills
